Atlas Media Corp. Hires Television Veteran Kaki Kirby for Newly Created Position of Senior Vice President, Business Development and Special Projects
With eight series currently on the air and entering its 17th year of business, Atlas Media Corp., one of the country’s largest independent producers of non-fiction programming, announced today the hiring of Kaki Kirby to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Business Development and Special Projects. Ms. Kirby will be responsible for all of Atlas’ sales, marketing and development efforts. She will report to Bruce David Klein, Atlas’ President & Executive Producer, who made the announcement today.
“Kaki has extraordinary experience in film and TV development and production, as well as in strategic planning, marketing and sales,” commented Klein. “She’s a proven studio, cable and international dealmaker—and we’re thrilled to have her as part of our team.”
With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the industry, Ms. Kirby most recently served as Senior Vice President for Foxstar Productions, the non-fiction unit of Fox Television Studios. Supervising a staff of over 150 employees, she was responsible for the development and production of over 160 hours of programming for Fox Family, AMC, The History Channel, A & E, The Travel Channel and National Geographic Channels.
Prior to Foxstar, Ms. Kirby held the post of Senior Vice President, Business Development for WinStar TV & Video where she created the business plan for the integration of the home video, production and distribution units of WinStar New Media. Ms. Kirby also served as Senior Vice President for Non Fiction Films, Inc. and established and managed the North American film and television office for Beyond International, the multi-million dollar Australian entertainment organization.
