Atlas Preps Forensics Series for Discovery Health
Atlas Media is producing a new six-part forensic science series for Discovery Health that will be represented internationally by ID Distribution.
Skeleton Stories focuses on the examination and identification of skeletal, decomposed and/or unidentified human remains. The series is scheduled to premiere on Discovery Health Channel in the U.S. in the fourth quarter of 2005. Bruce David Klein, president and executive producer for Atlas Media Corp., described the show as a “compelling angle on a highly specialized area of forensic science.”
Eileen O’Neill, senior vice president and general manager of Discovery Health Channel, added, “Our viewers have an insatiable appetite for forensic science and medical mysteries. What’s more, forensic programs like Skeleton Stories help us learn more about health, science and the human anatomy.”
The distribution deal follows the announcement earlier this year that ID would handle worldwide television distribution rights, excluding North America, for Atlas Media Corp.’s medical mystery series Dr G: Medical Examiner.
