Atlas Establishes Lifestyle Division
Atlas Media Corp. has launched a new division focused on home and lifestyle programming that will be headed up by Maria Lane, the company’s executive VP of programming.
“This move is in direct response to our clients’ needs,” said Bruce David Klein, Atlas’s president and executive producer. “Viewers and advertisers have an insatiable appetite for lifestyle programming whether it involves food, fitness, home improvement, or other creative projects. With the new unit in operation, we are committed to identifying the hottest niches in that genre and developing programs that are completely fresh, unique, and diverse in content.”
The new Lifestyle Unit already has projects in development, having inked deals with lifestyle personalities Jennifer Kofford and Elizabeth Dimeo. Kofford headlines series on scrapbooks, decorating, cooking, photography, and making creative gifts.
Dimeo, meanwhile, a nutritionist, chef and fitness guru, stars in Naked Nutrition, where she surprises people on the street and in their homes, revealing truths about the food in their lunch bags and pantries.
