ATLAS MEDIA CORP. NAMES GLEN FREYER NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT
Atlas Media Adds Successful Television Executive & Producer to its Team
NEW YORK, JANUARY 7, 2009 — Atlas Media Corp., one of the country’s largest independent producers of non-fiction programming, has appointed Glen Freyer Vice President of Development, effective immediately. Based in the company’s New York headquarters he’ll report directly to Kaki Kirby, EVP of Business Development and Special Projects.
“Glen’s broad experience in the production of original and non-scripted programming makes him an ideal fit with Atlas Media Corp.,” said Ms. Kirby. “We’re thrilled that he’ll be joining our team.”
Mr. Freyer has more than a decade of experience developing, writing and producing non-scripted shows. Before coming to Atlas Media, Mr. Freyer was Vice President of NonFiction Programming at Court TV where he oversaw the development department and created shows for Court TV’s primetime lineup. After Court TV’s rebrand to truTV, Mr. Freyer also served as Vice President of Online Content for one year.
Prior to his network experience at truTV/Court TV, Mr. Freyer was a member of Twentieth Televisions Fox Lab where he pitched and developed original shows and executive produced two daytime series: Live Like a Star and Classmates, the later of which he also created. Prior to Fox, Mr. Freyer was Producer of the hit syndicated show Blind Date where he worked the first four seasons.
