Entertaining the world...
Writer/producer/director Bruce David Klein founded Atlas Media Corp. in 1989. Its mission? To create, produce and distribute innovative television programming. Since then, Atlas has grown into one of the world’s leading independent multi-platform producers of non-fiction television series and specials, theatrical documentaries and digital entertainment. Atlas combines the substantial resources of mini-studio with the personal, passionate vision of a filmmaker.
RealScreen magazine has repeatedly named Atlas to its annual Global 100 list (in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009), identifying the company as one of the largest and most influential providers of non-fiction entertainment in the world. Atlas creates ratings-grabbing, award-winning productions that have become staple programming for U.S. networks such as A&E, National Geographic Channel, The History Channel, Discovery Channel, Discovery Health, TLC, Food Network, GSN, WE: Women’s Entertainment, Travel Channel, Planet Green, ID-Investigation Discovery, The Disney Channel, and USA Network, as well as national syndication, DVD/home entertainment, web channels, and distribution in 100+ markets worldwide. Atlas programming has earned a number of awards, including multiple Cine Gold Eagles, New York Festivals Gold Medals, and countless specialty awards, such as the Genesis Award for Best TV Kids Program and the prestigious James Beard Foundation award for Best TV Food Journalism.
Recent expansion at Atlas includes a documentary film arm and a digital media division.
